Yin Yoga classes

yin yoga for the kidney meridian

Our body is full of meridians. These are lines that can be stimulated to treat whatever ails you. It’s a great way to see how you’re doing energetically. And it’s already thousands of years old.

The meridians have their origin in Traditional Chinese Medicine. I’m officially not trained into this discipline, so I can’t tell you anything about it.

Luckily, I’ve shared a link with you in this sequence that you can have a look at.

Enjoy!

This sequence focuses on your hips. And it’s known that when you deeply stretch your hips, that it might induce sleep. Therefore is this video suitable for anyone who’d like to do a bit of yoga right before going to bed.

And not just that, this sequence will be completely seated, this means that you can even do it while you are already in bed.

Alright, you do have to make sure that you are not covered just yet.

In this article I’ve also presented more details about a couple of the asanas that we will be doing. This will give you a deeper understanding of these postures and you can even put them in your own built sequence!

Does it happen that your lower back hurts while doing yoga? Or do you just have a bit of a sore back anyway?

Well, no more with this video! In this video, I’m telling you more about how to protect your lower back. And on how to tailor some asanas to your needs.

You don’t need to have pain while doing yoga. You only have to feel a stretch. This will give you the best benefit and will lower the chance of getting an injury.

And best of all, all of these options are so simple that nobody will even notice that you are taking a softer version.

With so many people having desk jobs, it is not a big surprise that a lot of people have a bad posture.

This is, quite likely, due to computer work and such. But were you also aware that you can change this?

In this sequence, we’ll be focusing on the shoulders in particular. And this is basically to make sure that you counter your posture at the end of the day.

You know, you might’ve been slouching all day, and that means that it would be good to correct this.
There are some great postures explained in this video. So enjoy watching, and maybe you can even find some postures that are manageable during the day!

After work yoga for your neck

I’ve already mentioned when the best time to do yoga is. So, I’m not going to repeat that answer right here.

Just know that after work is also a great time to roll out your mat and do a little practice.

Why you say? Well, it’s quite easy. During the day you’ve accumulated some stress (which can be emotional but it can also be physically!). This stress you’d want to get rid of right away!

This is why I came up with this yoga sequence for your neck. A lot of our stress nestles around this area an therefore some easy yoga exercises might be able to cope with this!

And it’s a great transition from work to relaxation time at home.

Ahimsa in your yoga practice

We’ve already spoken a bit about Ahimsa or non-violence in our article about the yama’s.

We’ll be talking that into our practice now. This way you’ll be able to connect the yogic philosophy into your practice.

Because this is what yoga is all about. Reflecting your life and the philosophy onto your daily life, by practicing the asanas.

This practice is a yin yoga practice, focused on the dragon poses.

You’ll be getting the opportunity to reflect on how you react in difficult situations. Giving you the opportunity to change something about this. Or just to recognise it. Which already makes a huge difference on its own.

Complete Chill yoga sequence

Are you looking to complete de-stress and relax?

Well, it’s possible with this full relaxation yoga sequence. It’s going to be a fusion between Hatha and Restorative.

This will make sure that you’ll get a little stretch at first and after that, go in complete chill-mode!

Vinyasa yoga

Soft Morning Vinyasa Flow

If it’s a bit hard for you to wake up in the morning, then you’d definitely need to think about doing some yoga.

And this sequence might actually be the perfect fit for you! It’s not too vigorous, so you’ll won’t be breaking out into a sweat.

Yet, at the same times you’ll be able to get rid of that morning stiffness!

Dynamic Morning Vinyasa

This one is quite dynamic and great if you’d like to get that little bit of extra energy in the morning.

It’s not too long, so you won’t be sweating too much. Keep in mind though that you will get your heartbeat up a little.

This is to replace that shot of coffee in the morning with a vibrant yoga session!

Hatha yoga

Yoga For a better digestion

One thing that I really like about yoga, is what it has done for my belly!

For years I’ve been suffering from IBS. It’s always been like a rollercoaster, going up and down. Sometimes even upside down.

But the moment I decided to dive deeper into yoga, that’s when my life changed completely.

Suddenly I become aware of what poses were really good for my digestion and which ones were even giving me some relief.

This is what I’m going to share with you now: a nice yoga sequence that will help you manage your IBS symptoms.
