The new year has just started, and although you’ll probably have thought about all of your intentions, I hope that yoga is on that list as well. To help you keep up with your yoga practice, I’ve searched for a couple of yoga freebies for you which are really worthwhile to make sure that you can kickstart your year with yoga!

January is always a month full of gifts and the big yoga brands are jumping on the ship that gets you hooked as well. This is great for us as this is the month that we get big promotions and free trials! Let’s start with a couple of them:

#1 Yoga International

First of all, Yoga International starts off with a 30-day trial on their streaming service. This is amazing as normally companies just offer a 15-day trial or less. This might be a good start of your year. Start with some detoxing or yoga sessions for lost weight on their platform.

They also have some great yoga teachers on their platform, like Noah Maze and Shiva Rea. Which makes this free trial more than worth it. Of course, after 30 days, you’ll have to pay for your subscription if you’d like to continue with them. My advice to you is: if you do watch a video twice a week, it’s worth it. If not, then it might not be for you. If not, make sure that you cancel your subscription before they let you pay.

A yearly subscription will cost you about US$179. Which makes it cheap for what you are getting in return. However, keep on reading as there are more great freebies coming up!

Another thing is, Yoga International always says that their one-month trial is only available for a couple of days, however, I’ve seen them do this offer since November last year already. So, if they say they haven’t got a free trial period, just wait until there is one coming up, I’m sure there will!

#2 doyogawithme.com

This one is an amazing platform. If you aren’t really into watching videos online on a regular base, but you do want to have access to them, this is something for you.

At doyogawithme.com they actually offer a free membership and most of their beginner videos are actually free to watch. How is this possible? Well, there is a catch. Because if you are getting hooked on the platform, you might want to subscribe to some other videos from your favorite teacher.

Yoga for Weight LossAnother thing, they try to make money as well by selling you the free videos. Their platform is built to watch a video online, but there is no possibility to watch it offline. This means that if you are on the road, you will need to purchase your favorite yoga class for a small fee. After the purchase, it’s yours to keep and to watch whenever you’d like.

They also have a subscription plan. It is ideal if you are aware that you are actually watching more videos on their website than you thought you would. Their subscription prices only at US$ 99 dollars per year. Which makes it the cheapest platform that I’ve seen so far.

The downside of this, they don’t have the greatest yoga teachers out there, but then again, we all have to begin somewhere. I’d really suggest this platform to people who are starting out with yoga and would like to see if yoga indeed would be something for them.

#3 Yogakali

Mostly when you subscribe to a website, they offer you a freebie, like an e-book, or a calendar, those kinds of things. Most websites out there offer just one thing and it’s a one-time thing only. So, if you lose the e-mail with your freebie, you lost it and are doomed to subscribe to yourself all over again.

But not with Yogakali. There they offer a couple of freebies and the owner of the website even updates her files very often to make sure that they are up to date. Therefore, no outdated cheatsheet that’s been made in the 00′, but content that’s always up to date.

yoga playlists

Of course, you won’t find videos here. But you’ll find a couple of things that might help you with your at-home yoga practice. This includes all kinds of challenges, workbooks, etc. Just go and have a look at everything that they have to offer!

#4Ā LearningOnlineBlog.com

If you are into the world of kids yoga, then this freebie might come in very handy. On this website, you’ll get a free printable yoga game. If you are a kids yoga teacher, you’ll probably know how much time and effort crawls into preparing a yoga class. I even believe it asks for more preparation than when you are teaching adults.

So, don’t be shy and have a look at what other people have made. There’s a good chance that you’ll find that other people have had some amazing inspirational ideas as well. Which makes your work a lot easier. Don’t see it as cheating as you can always take the idea and make it completely your own!

#5 The Yogi Life For Me

Yes, we are also joining the game of freebies. I’ve just created our own YouTube channel where you’ll find a collection of all the videos that we are going to make. At the moment we’ve got a couple of meditations already prepared for you, who are actually also incorporated in some of our articles, like a yoga Nidra.

In the future, there will be more coming and all of this for free as well! So, if you’ve got an idea for something that you’d like to see soon, make sure you leave a comment down below, or write an e-mail to virendra@myogilife.com

#6 Yoga Nidra Network

And of course, if you are sick of our Yoga Nidra and you’d like to have a little change, then this option is ideal as well: The Yog Nidra Network. Here you’ll find a library with all kinds of different yoga nidras. Over the years the website has improved a lot, although the layout can still become a bit more appealing.

Nevertheless, they have a wide range of different meditations. And not just that, they also have a dozen of different languages available. Which makes it easier for you to find a nidra in your own language, as that always works best.

You can also choose out of the hundreds of nidras by theme, so if you’d like to work on something specific, they’ll probably have it as well.

How do they keep their website alive? Well, they also offer a Yoga Nidra course and if you find yourself going often to their site, you might also like to contribute.

Conclusion

That’s about it for some great yoga freebies that are available out there. Of course, for more free videos, you can always check our article about some great YouTube video channels as there are many great yogis out there that are sharing their videos. Of course, with free yoga videos, you also have to keep in mind that you can’t expect the greatest quality as beginning channels are just starting out and don’t have the equipment yet to make their channel very professional.

Hope this will help you out with your personal and private practice. As you know, yoga continues as well outside of the studies and these freebies are a great way of maintaining your yoga.

Nama-stay wonderful!

I think I’m going to follow on the number five mostly. šŸ™‚ I am curious to see how and what will you do differently.

Freebies you listed all look great and there is plenty of free material available on the internet, but separating the seeds from the weed is where most of us fail, since there is a lot of worthless material and scams out there as well.

Thank you Vasilij :D. I’m waiting for a couple of things before I can start producing some videos for YouTube. Until then I’ll probably be producing one meditation a week. Stay up to date if you’d like to hear more!

  2. Carmen

You have presented 5 yoga addresses that offer free starter programs. Yoga, however, I think is not suitable for anyone. Or maybe yes? Are these programs for beginners? Now I have a little more free time and I am thinking of trying one of the programs. I have always heard of yoga, but I have never tried it.

Hi Carmen, thank you for your comment, and I do have to add, yoga is truly for everyone! I’ve seen people with one leg doing yoga, so you can do it too šŸ˜‰
